Each crane comes with a drawing stamped by a professional engineer licensed in Ontario.

G-Rail jib cranes are often “foundationless” because of the very large baseplates offered as standard. Hilti chemical anchors into solid concrete floor are necessary. Concrete floor must be sound, with at least 20 MPa (3 ksi) strength, without nearby cracks or seams, with welded wire mesh and with a thickness of at least 6”. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the floor meets these requirements. Consult a Professional Engineer in your area to check the strength of your floor.

G-Rail booms are made of aluminum. They are far more lightweight than almost any other on the market. The weight of the boom is absolutely critical to whether an operator likes or dislikes using a jib crane.

When a typical jib swings to its end-of-travel, the boom hits with a thud. G-Rail jib cranes come standard with a “soft stop” to cushion that collision.
